6th Graders Visit Aquarium
The entire 6th grade class recently went on a Field trip to the Via Aquarium in Rotterdam NY. Beside touring the facility and all the exhibits within, the students participated in two separate workshops.
AP Class Release Trout in Little Hoosick
After hatching trout eggs in Mr. Toole’s Advanced Placement Environmental Science class, students successfully released the young fish in the Little Hoosick River on May 15. They completed the project through the Trout in the Classroom program.
Curriculum Spotlight: Marine Biology
Did you know the Berlin Middle/High School library is infested with sharks? Each year, students in the Marine Biology course hatch catsharks from egg cases in the aquariums at the school library. The only course of its kind in the surrounding area, Marine Biology at Berlin MS/HS affords a unique educational opportunity for students to engage in advanced science, design and collaborative problem solving.
