BNL OUTSTANDING ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Award!!

Coaches, Teachers, or Community Members can nominate a deserving SENIOR athlete who demonstrates: Community Service, Academic Success, Athletic Accomplishments, Leadership, Workmanship, School/Athletic Spirit, Participation in 2 or more sports, and an overall positive impact or presence in our communities.

Our BNL Athletic Director will have the final vote on the recipient and their name will be displayed on a plaque at BOTH schools. The student athlete will also receive a $50 gift card, individual plaque, and BNL merch courtesy of the BNL Athletics Booster Club. The winner will be announced at the end-of-year awards ceremony.

2024 BERLIN-NEW LEBANON ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Berlin-New Lebanon Athletics Booster Club, Inc. will award up to two scholarships to graduating senior(s) (two from Berlin and two from New Lebanon) with plans to attend a public/private college or vocational school.

- Must have participated in two or more sports over two or more school years.
- Must have attended Berlin or New Lebanon High School for a minimum of two years.
- Must have a minimum cumulative average of 80% or greater.
- Must have applied to attend a public/private college or vocational school by Fall 2023.
- Must thoroughly and honestly complete the application process.
- Must show good character & citizenship in BNL athletics and in the community.
- Blind Applications will be reviewed by a committee & recipients will be announced in June.
- Awards will be dispersed to the student for Fall 2024 semester expenses.

Award: up to $250 per recipient

Mission Statement (prior to merger)

The purpose of the Berlin Athletics Booster Club is to provide morale, volunteerism, and the support necessary to assure our program’s sustainability for years to come!

What is the Booster Club?

The Booster Club is a non-profit 501c3 organization established to provide positive opportunities for our student athletes in both districts via fundraising above and beyond the schools budgetary coverings. There are no membership fees, just a dedicated group of VOLUNTEERS including parents, coaches, athletes & community members all who help in various ways throughout the year! The organization is legally established in NYS governed via established by-laws by a group of elected officers.

How does the Booster Club raise funds?

We hold one annual raffle fundraiser in the Fall that benefits all sports programs! Teams can also hold individual fundraisers to benefit that program specifically. Examples of past fundraisers have included: Product Sales, Soccer Tournaments, Mountain Madness, etc.

How does the Booster Club give out funds?

Fund Requests forms are available from the Booster Club or Coach. Forms must be submitted to the Booster Club for approval of any & all funds going out.

Ways to get involved?

Attend a monthly meeting. (Check FB or school calendars for upcoming dates)
Ideas…..we love your ideas!
Volunteer your time at an upcoming event
Donate an item at an upcoming event
Volunteer to be a “Team Parent”
Volunteer behind the scenes with designing programs, flyers, collecting donations, etc.
