BCSD Superintendent Rizzo and NY Senator Ashby Meet To Discuss Advocacy for Rural School District
Advocacy for one’s community and partnerships with local representatives are critical to the success of a public school during times of fiscal struggle and trying to meet the needs of students and the greater school community. This was the topic at hand during a sit-down conversation between Senator Jake Ashby, who represents the residents of the Berlin Central School District, Berlin CSD Superintendent Mr. Ken Rizzo, and BCSD School Business Official Ms. Colleen Mills.

The Berlin CSD School Budget Vote is May 20, 2025, from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Berlin Elementary School. There are three candidates running for three seats. Voters will be asked to vote for three candidates. Please learn more about the candidates here.

Community Budget Survey Closes 4/21 at 4:30 pm
If you have already filled out the community budget survey we thank you for your feed back. A reminder to those who have not taken the opportunity to do so, the survey will remain open for responses until Monday, April 21, 2025 at 4:30pm. This will allow time for the Board of Education to review the feed back before the budget adoption meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7:15pm in the BMHS Auditorium. Also, a reminder that petitions to run for the Board of Education are still available and can be obtained by emailing the District Clerk at ddemick@berlincentral.org. The deadline for petitions is 5:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025.
