Mountaineer Artists Take Center Stage at Legislative Exhibit
On May 19th, New York State legislators viewed and experienced the 36th New York State Art Teachers Association Legislative Exhibit, a student exhibit connecting aspiring artists, educators, and families from across New York. Berlin CSD had the distinction of having two Mountaineers selected to represent New York State’s youth and share their personal perspectives on art during the formal presentation, with BMHS art educator Mrs. DeCelle co-chairing the event, and six Mountaineers’ artwork exhibited. BES Spring Concerts
Berlin Elementary’s 5th Annual Night of the Arts is Thursday, May 28th at 6:30 pm (Mountaineers arrive at 6:15 for warm-up) featuring the 3rd, 4th & 5th Chorus and 4th & 5th Band at the Berlin Elementary Gymnasium.
The Berlin Elementary 1st & 2nd Grade Chorus Concert is on Friday, May 29th from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at the Berlin Elementary Gymnasium.
Families may view the BES Art Show at their Mountaineers’ concert.
Mountaineer Artists Featured in NYSATA’s 6th Annual Legislative Art Exhibition!
Congratulations to Mountaineers Norah Smerdon (Senior), Emma Duncan (Senior), Lillian vonSchilgen (Senior), Brianna Cleyne Ellima (Grade 7), Silas Smith (Grade 4) and Raymond Hammersmith (Grade 2) whose artworks were selected for the 36th Annual NYSATA Legislative Art Exhibit. Learn more here!

Mountaineer Art Students Visit the MFA in Boston
The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston, MA was visited by 50 Mountaineer artists on Monday, May 4th! Students toured the various exhibits from the Ancient Egyptians all the way to Contemporary Art! It is an important part of our High School Visual Arts coursework to be exposed to artists from Art History and cultures. Read on and see highlights here.
Mountaineer Artists Featured in Local Photo Contest
BMHS Art Teacher Ms. DeCelle would like to recognize three Mountaineer Artists for their submissions, which are featured in the contest: Stop by the Berlin Free Town Library this Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00am–12:00pm for the show reception and judging.
