2023-2024 Academic Recognition  

*With few exceptions, incomplete grades may mean that a student will not be included with the names for publication at the end of each quarter:

Merit List

  • Based on a student’s overall quarterly average (must be 85 or higher)
  • If students receive one or more grades below 65 or an incomplete for a course, they will not qualify for Merit List (*until the incomplete is satisfied).

Honor Roll

  • Based on a student’s overall quarterly average (must be 90 or higher)
  • No course grade below 80
  • *No standing incompletes

Principal’s List

  • Based on a student’s overall quarterly average (must be 95–100)
  • No course grade below 85
  • *No standing incompletes

2022-2023 Quarter 3 Academic Awards & Pep Rally

The BMHS Mountaineers celebrated Quarter 3 Academic achievements on Friday 5/5 with their third Academic Pep Rally hosted by the High School Student Council.
Principal Brownell announced the Principal’s List, Honor Roll and Merit list recipients for Quarter 3.
BHS’ Student Council kept the spirit going with the help of the Mountaineer mascot throughout the Pep Rally holding a Green & Gold spirit competition and games for principal list, honor roll and merit list students.

2022- 2023 Quarter 2 Academic Pep Rally

The BMHS Mountaineers celebrated their Quarter 2 Academic achievements on Friday 2/10 with an Academic Pep Rally hosted by the High School Student Council.
Special guest, Assemblyman for the 107th District, Scott Bendett addressed the students during the Pep Rally. Mr. Bendett shared his story and encouraged the Mountaineers to dream big and keep working hard. The Assemblyman also highlighted Mrs. Gould and Ms. Eliashuk’s BMHS Music Program by acknowledging the student-musicians who attended the recent Rensselaer All County Festival.
This year’s Berlin Idol winner, Alaina Gardner, followed Mr. Bendett’s address with a rousing performance of “Rise Up” by Andra Day.
Principal Brownell then announced the Principal’s List, Honor Roll and Merit list recipients for Quarter 2.
BHS’ Student Council kept the spirit going with the help of the Mountaineer mascot throughout the Pep Rally and held games of dodgeball and capture the flag for principal list and honor roll students.
On February 13th, Ms. Brownell held a crafting and cookie decorating party for Merit list students.
At the conclusion of the rally Ms. Brownell announced the BMHS Core Value student awards and will be treating these students to a pizza party in the coming weeks.
