trout1Fourth graders at Berlin Elementary School got a special Earth Day visit from Berlin High students Josh Kluck and Bre Brundige. The two tenth graders have been conducting an independent science class study on trout and were at the Elementary School to share what they have learned with each of our three fourth grade classes. They talked about trout development, food webs, water quality, and the important impact trout have on the environment. Josh and Bre raised trout from eggs in a climate-controlled tank at the High School over the course of the school year, studied their development, and this May released the trout into the Little Hoosick River. Earth Day was April 22.
