As outlined during the Budget Development Presentation shared during the February 27, 2024 Board of Education Meeting, the district faces significant challenges as we develop the budget for the 2024-2025 school year. These challenges result from a combination of factors, including but not limited to: proposed reductions in Foundation Aid, a structural revenue deficit moving into 2024-25, and the expiration of COVID related funding and grants.
Despite these challenges, we are committed to holding true to our district’s mission and vision, along with the pillars and core values developed as part of the strategic planning process, to best meet the needs of our students, staff, facilities and community. Please continue to follow our budget development process over the next few months by visiting the district’s Budget webpage or by attending the monthly Board of Education meetings, held at 7:15 p.m. at the Berlin Middle High School on the third Tuesday of the month. Please join us. Your voice is important.
