The program operates at the Zonta club, district/region and international levels. Zonta International offers 37 international awards of US $5,000. Each district/region may submit one applicant for consideration for an international award. The five largest districts may submit a second applicant for a total of two applicants.

Berlin PTO Scholarship Application
Student must be a graduating senior who has attended the Berlin Middle High School for at least two years and participated in one of the following during those two years:
- Music Program: (Band, Music, Drama Club)

- Interscholastic Sports Program: (Any sport)
You may apply to any one of or all three scholarship areas. There will be one scholarship awarded in each category.

2024 BERLIN-NEW LEBANON ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Berlin-New Lebanon Athletics Booster Club, Inc. will award up to two scholarships to graduating senior(s) (two from Berlin and two from New Lebanon) with plans to attend a public/private college or vocational school.

In recognition of the unselfish dedication of Mrs. Wilma Anderson, a 34-year member of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. Rescue Squad, it is with great honor that the Berlin Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. offers a scholarship award to a Town of Berlin resident and Graduating Senior of the Class of 2024.
We will be supporting the selected recipient for four years.
AWARD AMOUNT – $750 EACH YEAR FOR UP TO FOUR YEARS – MAXIMUM AWARD OF $3,000.

Frank Jones Memorial Scholarship

Berlin Teachers’ Association
Each year, the Berlin Teachers’ Association awards a scholarship in the amount of five hundred dollars to a Berlin senior who is interested in pursuing a career in the field of education, health and/or human services. The money is intended to help the student with college expenses. Students seeking this grant should fill out this form, attach their essay, and submit it to the counseling office. Essays will be reviewed by a committee of at least three to five teachers.
Students must submit this application, including the essay, by Friday, May 17 to the counseling office.

Berlin SMITH Scholarship
The SMITH Scholarship will be awarded to two graduating Berlin students who demonstrate the following qualities: Service-Merit-Integrity-Truth-Honor in honor of Bob Smith, a Berlin Graduate.
The award will be in the amount of $1,000 to two graduating seniors that have attended Berlin High School for a minimum of two years and are planning to attend college or vocational training.
You will need to write a 500 word essay that explains how you demonstrate the SMITH qualities stated above and submit at least one letter of recommendation from a non-relative.
Students must submit this application with the essay and letter by May 31, 2024 by sharing a Google Document with Ariel Gilbert and/or attaching the essay and letter to agilbert@berlincentral.org

2024 Hudson Mohawk AHEC Health Career Scholarship
The Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center, known as Hudson Mohawk AHEC, will be awarding scholarships of $500 each to high school seniors and individuals entering an approved healthcare related certificate or degree program at a local community college, university or training entity within New York State. Applicants must reside within or be a graduating senior from a high school within the Hudson Mohawk AHEC service region, which includes: Albany, Essex, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties.
Recipients of the 2023 scholarship are also eligible to apply for a second award, which will be based on performance and available funding.

Horatio Alger Scholarship
In keeping with the mission of the Horatio Alger Association, the scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Community Service Award for High School Juniors & Seniors
High School junior or senior students who perform outstanding community service may apply by submitting a completed application and reference letter to a Zonta club in their locality. Academic achievement is not relevant. Each of the 20 Zonta Clubs in District 2 solicits & accepts applications from high schools in its area. In the spring, each club reviews the applications it receives, and selects a single club candidate. Each club candidate becomes a District finalist. The Jean M. Coon committee reviews each finalist application and an award winner is announced in May.

Joey’s Fine Art Award
This memorial art award is for a deserving student planning to attend a program in literary, performing, or visual arts. Applied art and video gaming programs will also be considered. Camps, workshops, and residences are also considered.
An eligible student is one who has completed the requirements of secondary school through homeschooling or is graduating from Berlin Central High School. The award is based on completing the application, sharing interests and goals, and possibly, providing a sample of the art or expression.

Retiree Council 10 Scholarship
NYSUT RC 10 is pleased to announce a $1,000 scholarship award for 2024 public high school graduating seniors pursuing a degree in education at either a two-year college transfer program or a four-year college. This scholarship award will be given to one qualified student from each of the four counties represented by RC 10 (Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington). Funds are paid at the end of the first semester of freshman year of college. Upon receipt of a successful fall semester transcript by January 1, 2025, funds will be issued directly to the scholarship recipient.
Each student will indicate his/her intention to become an educator by completing our application. The student is responsible for assuring that all the materials are postmarked by the March 25 deadline. The scholarship award recipients will be notified by April 25.

Rensselaer County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) Scholarship
The Rensselaer County Conservation Alliance (RCCA), a County- supported organization, established in 1956, to provide County citizens a platform to partner with government officials and local conservation groups to foster interest, projects, and policy pertaining to the improvement of our local environment.
We have established a $500 RCCA Award, to be awarded to a deserving Rensselaer County high school graduate who has demonstrated a desire to study a conservation, recreation, forestry, environmental, commercial fishing, or earth studies field. The Junior League of Albany, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable endeavors with a particular focus on women and children.
About The Rockwell Scholarship
Because of the generosity of the late Marjorie Doyle Rockwell and in her memory, the Junior League of Albany awards the Rockwell scholarship each year to assist at least one young woman in obtaining the education and skills necessary to further her volunteer potential.

Saratoga Voices 27th Annual High School Vocal Scholarship Competition
Saratoga Voices is hosting its 27th annual vocal scholarship competition for high school seniors in the Capital Region. Two scholarships will be awarded along with an opportunity to perform in an upcoming Saratoga Voices concert. The winner will receive a $1500 scholarship, and the second-place winner will receive a $1000 scholarship. While applicants are not required to pursue a career in music, the scholarships aim to support the continued study of singing in college.
Eligibility requires candidates to submit a completed application form either electronically to Susanne Margono at susannemargono@gmail.com or by mail to 187 Grand Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Winners must provide Saratoga Voices with the address of the college or university program to which they have been accepted. The scholarships will be forwarded, in their names, directly to the institutions.

Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship
First Annual Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship to be awarded in 2024. Troy Industrial Solutions (TIS) will award a yearly scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to one graduating high school senior, anywhere throughout the US, who is interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing, mechanical or maintenance industries.
The Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship recipient will receive a $1000.00 financial award to be used towards earning a certificate or educational credential at any college, vocational or trade school in the US. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, equipment, or tools used in this endeavor. In our commitment to support the promotion and growth of manufacturing jobs here in the US for future generations, TIS joined the efforts on October 6, 2023, and participated in National Manufacturing Day announcing our intentions.
