It was a beautiful cool late summer day at Dyken Pond last Thursday, September 21st. The Berlin Elementary fifth graders had the opportunity to walk the trails of Dyken Pond, learning more about the tree and water wildlife such as snapping turtles, otters, and beavers. The students were also given the task to complete several different challenging team building activities in small groups.
After the fun of exploring and working together the fifth graders enjoyed a picnic.
Thank you to our friends and neighbors at Dyken Pond who once again helped spark curiosity and the wonder of nature for our fifth graders. We are looking forward to a great school year after this team building field trip. -The BES 5th Grade Team Mrs. Walsh, Ms. Philip, Mr. Moseley and Mr. Turetsky
