Saratoga Children’s Museum

The fourth graders have had a busy end to the school year! Find out about a recent field trip they went on to wrap up the school year.
The fourth grade visited Saratoga Children’s Museum. The museum offered a hands-on program as an extension and culmination of the Iroquois unit. Students built longhouses, used tools made from genuine animal parts, practiced weaving, and much more. In addition to the Iroquois activities, students continued their learning through imaginative play within recreated real life scenarios. This included a Spectrum greenscreen to share the weather, human body, ice cream shop, grocery store, and so much more. All of the children commented on how much fun they had at this museum. -Ms. Meyer, Ms. Mulvey, Mrs. Laz and Mrs. Bersaw

Water Day

The Fourth Grade Team hosted a Water Day to celebrate the hard work of the 4th grade Mountaineers this school year. Students spent the afternoon keeping cool playing water games and bonding with their peers.

Makers Market

Recently Mrs. Laz and Mrs. Bersaw’s class held a Makers Market and invited BES staff and their fourth grade peers to come “shopping”. It was a fun and creative learning experience for the students to brainstorm what their goods or services would be, create a business plan and market their wares. The students and staff had a great time visiting the fourth grader’s Makers Market. Check out some photos from the market below.
