February’ s character trait at BES was showing self love and and self respect. These traits were demonstrated by the Character Education committee during February’s assembly, and defined as treating yourself the way you would treat a friend, always with kindness. Through out the month of February BES Mountaineers were asked to fill out heart with how they show self love.  Their heart were hung around the building for their peers to read and maybe be inspired by.  Check out some of the hearts high lighted below.

Great work Mountaineers!

During the assembly Mountaineers who demonstrated January’s character trait of fairness, when everyone gets what they need to be successful, were recognized with Character Counts Awards. Character Count recipients are selected by classroom teachers.

Congratulations Mountaineers!

Restorative Rock Star

February’s Restorative Rock Star was building substitute Mrs. Masterson!  Mrs. Masterson is an amazing substitute teacher who steps in and rolls with changes in the schedule with grace.  She makes our students that she works with feel safe and accomplished with the work that they do while they are with her. Thank you for being such a dynamic Restorative Rock Star!
