Dear Parents & Families,
It is hard to believe we celebrated the 100th day of school this week and are more than half way through the school year. In my last message to you, I provided some information about the Governor’s proposed budget and encouraged you to advocate on behalf of our district and others who would be negatively impacted by the proposed significant reductions to Foundation Aid. Thank you to those of you who have done so.
I am committed to continuing to provide information and updates throughout the budget development process. To that end, I am sharing with you a column, written by our Questar III BOCES, District Superintendent, Dr. Gladys I. Cruz, which speaks about the Governor’s proposal and the potential impact.
I also wish to provide you with additional advocacy options: You may wish to consider signing this digital petition, and/or submitting a pre-populated letter using the links available at the NYS PTA website.
All information regarding the Berlin CSD 2024-25 Budget Development will be posted to the Budget Information portion of our webpage, as will any updates regarding the state budget and all links to facilitate advocacy.
