Today in second grade at Berlin Elementary, BCSD’s School Resource Officer Deputy McGuire became part of a whole group lesson! Second grade Mountaineers have been identifying character traits of characters in stories. Today, Deputy McGuire was the character that they found traits for. Students worked in six groups with their teachers to pick out adjectives that fit internal and external character traits. Deputy McGuire was quite a “trooper” as he allowed these words to be stuck to him. We are sure that students will remember what a character trait is as they used a very important person in our school as a model character. Thank you Deputy McGuire!
