Thank you to the Berlin Elementary School community for donating to the food drive hosted by the BES Ambassadors.

Ms. Peter-Hoen and Ms. Ruebel are excited to announce that the total number of items donated was 753 items!  Congratulations to Mr. Turetsky’s class who donated 188 items and will receive a classroom party hosted by the ambassadors.

The BES Ambassadors headed to the Berlin Food Closet Thursday, December 15th, to deliver the donations.

During their visit students helped food pantry director, Ms. Dianne Mosher and the Berlin Food Closet volunteers sort and date all the donated items. The Mountaineers learned about how essential the support of the food closest and all community pantries are to the BCSD community. Ms. Mosher explained that the Berlin Food Closest is open to families without questions on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

The ambassadors also helped pack holiday meal boxes along with the volunteers and took a break for an ice cream circle as a thank you from the pantry volunteers.
