On Thursday, December 1st and today, December 2nd, Berlin Elementary kindergarteners had some Grinchy fun!!

National Grinch Day is celebrated officially on December 1st, and is a day that “encourages readers to ‘grow their hearts three sizes’ through the celebration of reading, giving from the heart and community spirit”.

On Thursday, the kindergartners enjoyed math and literacy activities all centered around The Grinch.

Today, the kindergarten Mountaineers created crafts, played games and watched The Grinch.  Some students got into the spirit and dressed up for the day with inspired hairdos and fun outfits.

The Kindergartners also incorporated discussions and a writing activity centered around kindness and how to make someone’s heart happy and grow.
