During the weekend of May 9-12, the Berlin Middle and High School Student Council’s enjoyed a fun-filled and educational trip to Washington D.C.!
The Mountaineers visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, American History Museum, Holocaust Remembrance Museum, Arlington Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The students also toured the U.S Capitol Building, and explored the monuments around Washington’s National Mall.
While visiting the monuments, students had the opportunity to go to the top of the Washington Monument for an amazing view of Washington D.C..
Along with the educational experiences at the museums, students and chaperones also enjoyed competing in breakout rooms! The weekend was not complete without a stop at Medieval Times Dinner Theater. BMHS Student Council Advisors Mrs. Gilbert, Mr. Covell, and Mr. Ellis would like to give a big thank you to the parents and chaperones on the trip who helped to make the weekend so much fun! – Mr. Covell
