The BMHS Fishing Club went on an ice fishing outing early in the morning, Sunday February 12th. The Mountaineers had fun learning from club advisors Mr. Scannell and Ms. Marbot as well as from the adults who attended with the students. The club went out on Long Pond in Grafton State Park at 8 am and the weather was perfect. The fishing was slow but the crew had a nice time all the same. A yellow perch caught jigging by Ms. Marbot was one of two caught that morning! It was a nice turnout of students and families with positive feedback from all on the outing.
Thanks to the bait and tackle shop “ The Wiggly Worm” of Burnt Hill for donating all of the prize items and bait. We hope to do it again and catch more next time! – Fishing Club Advisors Mr. Scannell and Ms. Marbot
