Last night’s game was an amazing night for the BNL Girls’ Varsity basketball team. If you missed the game, check it out on Youtube! https://youtu.be/I6fHwyaw-ZQ Spoiler Alert: McKenzie Krause continues to lead the team in points as she scored 13 points and had a multitude of blocked shots in her best game of the season. Nora Colin, Hannah Mace, Lilly Gardell, Becca Madsen, and Riley Robertson all added points to lift the team to a 32-30 win over Waterford. The win was a perfect way to celebrate our only senior on the team in last night’s senior night, Sophie Ericson. Congratulations to all…well done!

Coach Day on Senior Sophie Ericson:

We recognize our one and only senior, Sophie Ericson. Sophie is joined by her mom Justine. Sophie is an athlete through and through playing soccer, basketball and track for almost all of her high school years. Her plans for the future are still in the planning stages but we all know that with the way she loves to argue; she could hold her own in a courtroom or the Senate. She is our biggest cheerleader and able to push us on to finish strong when we’re feeling down and worn out. Where does she get her energy? Who knows but we need to bottle that stuff and sell it!

Offensively, Soph loves passing the ball. We always wish she would shoot more…at least draw the foul so she can get to the line and hit those free throws!

Defensively, she is a beast. They have to go around her because there is no way they are going through her! Even covid is afraid of her because it still hasn’t caught her…obviously we hope it doesn’t!

As a matter of fact, we wish Sophie all the best in the future and hopefully we’ll have enough players to get a few more games in to finish up this season.
