The BNL Girls Varsity Volleyball match against Tamarac was a good match. The BNL girls played well but couldn’t get the win. It was a good showing but they came up short in 3 sets. I’m proud of the girls and the skills they are learning. The scores were 18-25 , 19-25 and 16-25. -Coach Slaver
Boys Varsity Soccer vs Hoosic Valley
Yesterday the BNL boys went to Hoosic Valley and after falling behind by 1 goal took the lead and never game it up. I guess you could say that they all had a case of the Mondays as we came out slow in the beginning, but as we started to create more and more momentum we were up 2-1 at the half after two Winter Exley goals, then Kasey Billert came off the bench and scored 2 goals in less than 8 minutes, and things just started to fall our way. The team created a lot of chances and held onto the momentum. Excellent play by many players and a few stand out performances. Kevin Chitternden was great in the goal, Garrett Votra continued his positive play, as Wyatt Powers, Danny Hunt, and Gabe Colin all helped to control the game in the midfield. What a great team win. -Coach Gould

The boys JV soccer team didn’t snap back from their Saturday game and got off to a slow start against Hoosic Valley. The team spotted HV 2 points before Chris Shorter connected for a goal. In the last 20 minutes of play BNL started firing on all cylinders and put 8 shots on goal forcing the HV goalie to make some hard saves and clanging the ball off both posts and the cross bar. Levi Dodge was a big part of the team revving up and along with Liam Buckenroth played from one end of the field to the other. Kristjon Culbertson had 11 saves. Unfortunately the winning streak ended in a 1-2 loss. – Coach Burhans

Girls Varsity Volleyball vs Waterford
Our last game of the season was at Waterford on Monday 4/26. It was a emotional time for our seniors, because it sunk in that this was the last time they put on a jersey for a high school team. We had all five seniors! They all gave a lot of heart. The scores were 14-25, 12-25,and 12-25. I’m very proud of these girls. We belong in this league and we can only improve every year. We gave the top teams a run for there money playing four or five games against them, usually we get skunked but not this year. Great job ladies so proud. And to the seniors good luck with whatever you do. Go BNL! -Coach Slaver
