I wish to share the following updates & information:
Budget Related:
Thank you to all of you who actively participated in the budget development process. On Tuesday, April 23rd, after much hard work and consideration of community feedback, the board approved the 2024-2025 budget that will go before our voters. The budget presentation has been updated to reflect the most up to date information.
The required Budget Hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:15 pm in the auditorium of the Berlin Middle High School. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Budget Newsletter will be mailed out to all community members next week, and will also be available at the local public libraries and posted to our web page.
The Budget Vote will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Berlin Elementary School. All community members are encouraged to come out and vote.
Unused Snow Days:
Due to unused snow days, the following “give back days” will be implemented. Friday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 28th school will not be in session.
Upcoming Activities & Events:
With the end of the year comes a number of anticipated and exciting activities and events, to celebrate the success and accomplishments of our students, our schools and our district. We will be sending out another Messenger early next week which will include an updated list of all end of the year events including dates, times and locations.

Please note the Budget Meeting is not a formal Board of Education meeting. This is the required hearing to share with interested stakeholders the Board of Education’s 2024-2025 Adopted Budget prior to the Budget Vote held on May 21, 2024, from 12pm – 9pm at the Berlin Elementary School.
