The January Artist of the Month is…..

Abigail Thela! (Grade 12)

Abby loves art, and never stops creating.  She excels in traditional mediums and glows in her digital work. In AP 2-D Design, Abby is exploring how color both affects and expresses emotion.  We can’t wait to view the animated characters piece she has been working on for the past few years. Abby is busy outside of class too. She is also our NAHS VP, is collaborating on a bus safety mural, and will compete in the fashion category at the OVA competition in May. Abby’s work ethic, empathy and kindness will serve her well as she embarks on a career in Art Therapy. Congrats Abby!

 

 

The February Artist of the Month is…..

Rebecca Moore! (Grade 12)

Becca is in the Intermediate Studio course this year and is branching out of their comfort zone – tackling printmaking again for the first time in years and honing skills as a clay bust ceramicist! Becca always pushes towards excellent craftsmanship no matter what media they’re creating with. Congrats Becca!
