Varsity Boys Soccer vs Tamarac
BNL hosted Tamarac for their first league match. Tamarac was able to score early off a corner, then we’re able to get it over Shuhart’s extended hand to make it 2-0. BNLs Logan Healy would score from a pass over the top by Levi Dodge with 2 mins left in the half to make it 2-1. Both teams would convert penalty kicks in the second half to get a final score of 3-2 in favor of Tamarac. The second half was anyone’s game, a well fought battle from both sides. -Coach Jackson Burhans

 

JV Boys Soccer vs Tamarac
The Boys JV Soccer team had a strong showing against Tamarac defeating them 7 to 4. Louie Gardell had an outstanding game on defense getting the player of the game distinction. Jack Healy in goal had 5 saves including a penalty kick save. Gabe Smith finished up in goal with 2 saves also including a penalty kick stop. The midfield was able to connect on good  passes allowing Markell Popov and Tyler Webster to pick up a goal each. Andrew Crimmel got 2 goals and Hayden Chittenden got a hat trick. The boys play Saturday and Sunday next on the BMHS fields.  -Coach Jen Burhans

Modified Girls Volleyball vs Stillwater
The BNL Modified Volleyball team opened the season with a win against Stillwater last night, taking the match 2 – 1. After dropping the first match 18-25, the players found their groove and came back to win the next 2 matches. Arianna Degroff (New Lebanon) started off the 2nd match with 8 service points, and Summer Levin (Berlin) ended the match with 6 service points to win 25- 14. The deciding 3rd match closed 25 – 17 for the win, with the top scorer being Gabby Yerdon (Berlin) with 6 points. All of the girls did a great job. Next up, the team faces Waterford/Halfmoon in our first away game of the season on Wednesday. -Coach Olson
