Monday 12/12
The BNL Varsity squad faced down a very experienced Panthers basketball team in Hoosick Falls on Monday, December 12th. BNL started off the scoring in this one and played the Panthers tough at the tipoff. By midway through the first quarter, BNL was playing a tight and focused game. A few intercepted passes and missed scoring opportunities led to points going the other way, and, more problematically, led to more forced passes and long range shots as BNL tried to claw back into the game. Despite the final score, both Coach Snyder and Assistant Coach Moseley agreed that the BNL boys continued to battle through the adversity and never appeared to give up.

Next up for BNL is a home contest against Cambridge on Wednesday, December 14th to be played at New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School.

BNL Cruises to Victory Against Cambridge

The BNL Varsity team earned their first win of the season in commanding fashion Wednesday, December 14th, 77-40 over Cambridge. It was a complete and well executed game on both offense and defense for BNL. Playing with high energy from the onset, BNL took an early lead and never let up. Leading the way for BNL on offense was Jesse Francoeur (17pts), Mason Stalker (15pts), and Chris Shorter (14pts). Gage Willis (14pts, 2 ASTs, 7 REBs, 4 STLs, & 5 DEFLs) played at a high level, with intensity and aggressiveness, and was leading BNL on the court before unfortunately exiting the game early with an ankle injury. Defensive blocks, steals, and solid rebounding were also key areas where BNL elevated their game compared to previous contests.

BNL now travels to Cambridge’s home court this evening for a game at 7 PM -Assistant Coach Moseley
