BNL Falls to Mechanicville
The BNL Boys Modified Soccer team lost to Mechanicville on Friday 4-1. BNL played tough all game, keeping the score tied 1-1 through halftime. Scoring for BNL was Markell Popov assisted by Heyden Chittenden.
Mechanicville and BNL largely traded shot for shot in the second half. Mechanicville was able to squeeze through BNL defenders and managed to take cleaner shots, resulting in three additional goals. BNL had opportunities of their own, but a few good saves and missed shots kept BNL out of the net the rest of the way.
Despite the final score, BNL continued to show hustle and flashes of advanced tactical play on the field. Up next on the schedule is a home (Stephentown field) showdown with Waterford-Halfmoon on Tuesday 10/11 at 4:30. – Coach Moseley and Coach Crimmel
