On Tuesday, August 30th, the Berlin Middle High School welcomed the incoming 6th and 9th graders with an orientation! W.E.B. (Where Everyone Belongs the 6th grade Transition Program) advised by Ms. Hammond and Ms. Kelly and Link Crew, advised by Ms. Hart and Ms. Bugbee (9th grade Transition Program) and their student leaders (student mentors), engaged in activities to orient and support students as they enter into a new building and new chapter in their education.
BMHS Music teacher and choral director Ms. Eliashuk surprised the 6th grade Mountaineers with a song for a fun icebreaker exercise.
Assistant Principal Mr. Paravella stopped into both orientations to welcome the students and talk about expectations and answer student’s questions and to conclude the orientation Principal Ms. Brownell provided a pizza party.
W.E.B. and Link Crew are programs that continue to support students throughout the school year, including check-ins and afterschool social events. Keep your eyes and ears open for more fun events later in the year!
Thank you WEB and LINK student leaders and advisors for your dedication to supporting the Mountaineer community!
Go Mountaineers!!
