The BNL Track and Field team will be sending its girls 4×800 relay team to the state qualifiers!  Elsie Corbett, Allura Meizinger, Haylee Jones, and Sadie Giumarra followed up their win at the Championships and won the Sectional event. Sadie went on and won the 400 meters at the wire and finished the day by winning the 800 in a nail biter.  Sadie will go on to compete in the State Qualifiers also. On the field side Sophie Ericson grabbed 2nd in the discus followed by Tallulah Powers in 4th. Sophie qualified earlier to compete in the State Q event. Lora Acquario was 4th in the pole vault and Nora Colin 4th in the triple jump. Matt Kluck came in 5th in the triple jump and 7th in shot put and long jump. Elsie Corbett was 3rd and Brady Hills 5th in the 3000. Gabe Kalisz had a good day finishing 4th in the 3200 and the 1600, Liam Buckenroth was 5th in the 1600. Allura Meizinger picked up 5th in the 400.  All 3 of the 800 runners finished in the top 6 following Sadie’s win, Allura was 4th and Haylee was 6th. Both boys and girls teams scored with all 6 relay teams. The boys 4×800 was 6th, the 4×100 was 5th as well as the 4×400 relay. The 4×100 girls relay was  6th and the 4×400 was 5th.

The girls team finished in 4th place, just 5 points behind 3rd and 9 points from 2nd.  The boys finished in 10th.  There are 16 teams in our section.
