The Varsity MasterMinds team (Raymond Ericson, Riley Smith, Austin Meyette, Connor Sniger and Danny Rivera) traveled to Niskayuna High School Tuesday, 5/24 to compete in the Albany region finals. The team began their evening with a 205-155 upset of perennial MasterMinds powerhouse, Bethlehem. They entered the quarter final round against Columbia high school and led 95 to 90 at the half. Unfortunately, Columbia was able to pull ahead with some second half “powermarks” and a late comeback wasn’t enough as the team fell to Columbia 200-140. The quarter final finish is the best result for the Berlin squad since 2017 and places Berlin in a 4th place tie with CBA on the season. Congratulations to the team on an excellent season. We are all very proud of you.
