Dear Students, Parents, BNL Coaches, Administrators, and Booster Club,
As many are aware, I have been tasked with facilitating a Merged Sports Committee. The Berlin School District has made significant strides in making our athletics programs more versatile and competitive. However, several challenges have impeded our progress. The purpose of this committee is to examine the current merged program, report, and make recommendations for improvement to the Berlin School Board.
This “working” committee will require interested members to be both willing and able to attend initial biweekly meetings regularly and to complete some independent tasks. A professional atmosphere that is structured, goal focused, and time constricted will be vital for success. Working collaboratively is a sure way to make an overall positive difference for our student athletes!
To ensure productivity, the Merged Sports Committee will need to be limited in size. I am hoping to have 2-4 student representatives, 2-4 parent volunteers, 2-4 coaching staff, both athletic directors, and a Booster Club representative to participate in this important endeavor.
