Berlin Central School District Will Be In-Person Tomorrow, March 21, 2022

Please note a notice to all families about in-person learning resuming on March 21, 2022 was sent out on a district all call and via email on March 20, 2022.

Dear BCSD Families,

Berlin Central School District will be in-person tomorrow, March 21, 2022.  Despite the high number of COVID cases among staff, the employees of the District are coming together to ensure that our students will have every opportunity to receive in-person instruction. 

Please note that tomorrow’s school meals will be modified from hot lunch to grab and go. Breakfast will include an entrée, fruit, milk and/or juice. Lunch will include an entrée, fruit, vegetable, milk and/or juice. There will be no snacks available for purchase. 

We ask that you please send your students in with lunches if at all possible to alleviate some of the strain on staffing resources that we are facing.  

As a reminder, we are providing test kits to families.  Please feel free to have your child pick up at-home COVID-19 test kits from the nurses’ office or request test kits to be backpacked home with your student.

Please monitor your student for any symptoms of COVID and stay home if you are sick. Please test your child daily or every other day until symptoms resolve using an at-home COVID-19 testing kit when they are showing symptoms and report any positive COVID-19 test results to your building’s COVID Coordinator:

Symptoms vary, and some people may not experience any symptoms. Please contact your healthcare provider (or the county health department if you do not have one) to be assessed if you have one or more of these new or worsening symptoms: 

➢ a temperature greater or equal to 100.0° F 

➢ feel feverish or have chills 

➢ cough 

➢ loss of taste or smell 

➢ fatigue 

➢ sore throat 

➢ shortness of breath 

➢ nausea, vomiting, diarrhea 

➢ muscle pain or body aches 

➢ headaches or nasal congestion/running nose
