The BNL Bowlers finished their regular season strong on Friday afternoon, defeating Saratoga Catholic 4-1 in order to clinch a 4th place regular season finish. Going into the match, BNL was tied with Waterford’s bowling team for 4th place. Only one team could claim the spot and its position in the league playoffs though. BNL was determined to clinch 4th and enter the playoffs for the first time in the program’s history – and the bowlers came out strong to take the first and second games. Danny Hunt and Nate Hendricks led the charge game one, shooting 168 and 158 respectively. Alex Reinhart shot his first ever 200 in game two, a 200 even. This, coupled with Nate Hendricks’s impressive 175, guaranteed the bowlers’ second point. Spa Catholic took advantage of some bad breaks in game three, winning the third point. BNL was ultimately victorious though, winning the overall match by 99 pins. The bowlers will compete in the Wasaren League Tournament tomorrow and then take on Stillwater in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday. Congratulations bowlers, good luck in the postseason!
