Today, the State Education Department released guidance for schools to reopen in the fall. This follows a framework of guidance that the Board of Regents presented on Monday. The information is available on the State Education Department’s website, http://www.nysed.gov/.
Berlin CSD’s Reopening Task Force, a group of six committees consisting of faculty, administration and parents, will review the guidance as it continues its work to create a plan for reopening school in the fall. Our goal is to provide the best possible educational services to the greatest extent possible under the given circumstances. As always, the health and safety of our students is our top priority. School districts will have to submit reopening plans to the State by July 31, with Governor Cuomo announcing a decision on the reopening of schools during the week of August 1.
