On August 19th, 9th grade members of FCCLA were invited to attend an Open District Meeting by Cobleskill-Richmondville FCCLA. The meeting was held at SUNY Cobleskill from 8:30-2:00.

After the workshop session all students attended lunch in the dining hall with a variety of choices from “normal” hot dogs and hamburgers to calamari. The college offered free lunch to all participants.
The Open District meeting continued with a round table discussion on FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences), FCCLA STAR events, samples of STAR events, etc. Berlin Central Chapter President, Ariana Hendricks, spoke about the advantages of doing a STAR event at the state and national levels.
