Good Evening,
I wish to once again thank members of the community for their active engagement during what was a challenging budget development process.
I am pleased to share with you the proposed 2025 – 2026 Berlin CSD Budget was passed by the voters this evening with the necessary 60.4% with 294 Yes votes and 193 No votes.
Proposition #2 authorizing students to be transported at lesser distances than required by the NYS Education Department passed with 380 yes votes and 101 no votes. Proposition #3 authorizing the purchase of 2 school buses passed with 307 yes votes and 177 no votes.
Voters elected three Board of Education members: Elaine Smith, Kim Collen, and Rebekah Lamphere.
The voter turnout and the outcome signifies the commitment our community has to our schools and our students. Thank you to everyone who came out to cast their vote.
