Sports News:

The Boys 7th & 8th grade basketball teams played together last night to take on the Waterford Fordians. Waterford caught the Mountaineers off guard in the first quarter & started to run up the score. Berlin regrouped after the first quarter & only allowed the Fordians to score 5 points in the entire 2nd quarter. After half time the Mountaineers never looked back, continued to work the ball on offense & find that basket. The boys held on to the lead for a 65-55 win over Waterford. Berlin’s high scores were Kristjon Culbertson & Gage Willis who both had 19 points for the Mountaineers. Not far behind them was Gabe Hart with 14 points, Jess Francoeur with 6 & Jake Colleen with 2. Every player played an important role in the win over Waterford. The boys’ next game is on the road Saturday morning at Cambridge.
