The Berlin Central School District’s Transportation Department conducts annual emergency school bus evacuation drills to ensure the safety of its students. This morning, Mountaineers at Berlin Middle High and Berlin Elementary schools participated in a simulated emergency exercise, familiarizing themselves with the safety features of the buses and learning swift and safe evacuation procedures. The district’s fleet is equipped with advanced safety technology, including AI-powered stop-arm cameras, and collaborates with Rensselaer County and BusPatrol to help ensure a safe commute for students.
