DOES YOUR CHILD NEED AN IMMUNIZATION FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR?

The Berlin Central School District would like to remind families of the immunization requirements needed for school attendance. NYSDOH Public Health Law 2164 and Section 66-1.4 of Title 10 of the NY Codes, Rules and Regulations require that a child must be up to date with immunizations required for school attendance and must NOT continue to attend school for more than 14 calendar days if not up to date on immunization. Proof of a future appointment to be vaccinated is not acceptable in place of a required immunization. Per New York State requirements, students who have not been vaccinated or shown acceptable proof of immunity by the 14-calendar day deadline must be excluded from school, effective September 22, 2026.

For families having trouble getting an appointment with their primary care physician before the above deadline, please call the Rensselaer County Department of Health @ 518-270-2655 to schedule an appointment.

To Families with children entering Pre-k, K, 6th, 7th, and 12th grades-please call your doctors office ASAP to ensure your child’s immunizations are up to date, schedule an appointment if needed, and fax updated immunization records to BES @ 518-658-0482 or the MS/HS @ 518-658-0483.
