| This training is designed to help parents understand the definitions and purpose of both a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), how the FBA and BIP should begin and the process as well as the role of parents, families, and caregivers as part of the BIP Teams. |

Special Education 101: Training of the Parent Member

| This training package is intended to assist parents, family members, and Educational Organizations (EOs) in understanding the special education process delineated in education laws and regulations; knowing the roles and responsibilities of the various members of the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and Committee on Special Education (CSE), particularly that of the Parent Member; and learning the techniques and strategies that are necessary for becoming an active participant in CPSE and CSE meetings. |

| The purpose of “What is an IEP? For Families of School-Age Students” is to gain a foundational understanding of the entire IEP process, including but not limited to, the Committee on Special Education (CSE), the roles and responsibilities of all parties, the various components of the IEP, and the transition planning process. |

Our courses are designed for families and caregivers, but professionals in the field of special education often attend!
