The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, Inc. (NYSPHSAA) has just announced its 2025-2026 Schools of Distinction and Schools of Excellence, recognizing member schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to academic achievement throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
BNL Athletic Director Mrs. Meghan Reynolds would like to congratulate the student-athletes from Berlin Middle High School’s and New Lebanon Jr./Sr. High School’s merged Athletic Program, BNL Athletics, for being awarded the title of 2025-2026 School of Excellence by NYSPHSAA.
BNL Athletics would like to send a shout out to the BNL community of coaches, teachers, support staff, and families, whose daily commitment helps guide and support the dedication of BNL student-athletes both in and outside the classroom.

To earn this recognition, 75% of a school’s varsity teams must have received recognition as a Scholar Athlete team by NYSPHSAA.
A commemorative award will be presented to BNL Athletic Directors during each Section’s Athletic Director Workshop this fall.
