LET’S GO BNL!
Thank you to Athletic Directors Corey Brown and Meghan Reynolds, BNL Fall/Winter/Spring Coaches, Athletic Secretary Candy Hudson, BNL Booster Club’s Shannon Gardell, Candy Hudson, Nicole Radliff, and Penni Eggsware for their dedication to the student-athletes this season.

BNL Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year Award

The BNL Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year Award recognizes a student-athlete who exemplifies excellence in Athletic Accomplishments, Community Service, Academic Achievement, Leadership, School and Athletic Spirit, and overall positive impact on our schools and communities.
This year, we received 38 nominations for 14 different student-athletes. Nominations were submitted by coaches, teachers, community members, and peers. After carefully reviewing each nomination, Athletic Directors Meghan Reynolds and Corey Brown reached a unanimous decision.
This year’s recipient was a member and captain of both the Varsity Cross Country and Boys Basketball teams. Throughout his athletic career, he earned MVP honors in both sports and received multiple Wasaren League All-Star selections in Cross Country. He has consistently demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, a positive attitude, and strong leadership, serving as a role model and mentor for younger student-athletes.
Beyond athletics, he has shown a commitment to serving others. Since the age of nine, he has actively volunteered to help clean and preserve local waterways, making a lasting impact on the community. In the classroom, he was a dedicated student. Following graduation, he plans to join the Carpenters Union and begin a promising career in the skilled trades.
Congratulations to the 2026 BNL Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year Award, Seth Hendricks!
BNL Athletics Booster Club Scholarship

The BNL Athletics Booster Club Scholarship is awarded annually to senior student-athletes who plan to attend college or a vocational school. To be eligible, applicants must have participated in at least two sports over a minimum of two years, maintained an average of 80% or higher, and demonstrated strong character and citizenship within both the BNL athletic program and the community.
As part of the application process, students were asked to respond to the question: “What lesson or lessons have you learned from participating in sports that will help you in life after high school?”
This year, we had one very deserving applicant and recipient. He has been a member of the Varsity Swim and Track & Field teams and previously competed as a member of the Cross Country team. Beyond athletics, he has demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and good citizenship through his participation in New Lebanon’s Student Leadership Council.
This Fall, he will attend Siena University, where he plans to study Business.
Congratulations to the recipient of the $250 BNL Booster Club Scholarship, Lance Schroder!
