Mr. Terence Maher

Facilities Director II

What is your education background?

I earned my associate’s degree in STEM studies from the Community College of Vermont in 2017. In 2024, I received my OSHA 10-hour certification, and in early 2026, I was licensed in the state of Vermont as a Lead Safe Supervisor.

What is your background like – previous jobs?

For the past five years, I have worked as the Facilities Manager at the Village School of North Bennington. Previously, I spent over twenty years working in the manufacturing field, holding roles from production to Quality Technician to Supplier Quality.

Tell us about your family?

My wife, Rachel, and I grew up in Bennington, Vermont. We moved from North Bennington to Cambridge, NY, five years ago with our three sons, Andy, Ryan, and Isaac. Andy is transferring to MCLA and will be starting his second year of college. Ryan will be going off to Alfred State College in the fall. Isaac will be a sophomore at Cambridge in the fall.

What are your interests outside of school?

I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s a game of pool, a movie night, or just relaxing in the backyard. I enjoy building things. Last year, I built a deck off the back of our house, and this year I’m building a greenhouse for my vegetable garden. I also enjoy gardening, hence the greenhouse.

Welcome to Berlin Central School District Mr. Maher!
