Congratulations to the Berlin – New Lebanon Athletic Department’s Candace Hudson on being awarded the Judith A. Martens Secretarial Award of Excellence from Section II of the New York State Athletic Administrators Association!
The award recognizes a secretary of an athletic administrator who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to local athletics.
Mrs. Hudson attended the NYSAAA awards reception in Albany yesterday where she was honored. Mrs. Hudson works as the assistant to both Berlin Athletic Director Mrs. Meghan Reynolds and New Lebanon Athletic Director Mr. Corey Brown to support the Berlin-New Lebanon (BNL) Athletics program. Mrs. Hudson goes above and beyond each day, on top of her day to day role as Berlin Middle High School’s main office secretary, managing the BNL athletic registration portals, game/practice schedules and cancellations, uniform distribution, officials, shuttle bus/game bus management, as well as the million and one questions a student-athlete, parent/guardian, coach, or administrator have her each day.
Mrs. Hudson’s commitment to athletics goes beyond her desk, she is co-president of the BNL Booster Club and mom to a BNL alum and a current student-athlete. The many hats she wears and her hard work behind the scenes and on the sidelines helps make a lasting impact on BNL student-athletes, coaches, and the school communities every day.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Hudson on this well deserved honor.
Thank you for all you do to make BNL athletes feel informed, prepared, and proud of their athletic community.
