Today, Berlin Middle and High School Mountaineers Dannie Young, Allie Manchester, Levi Sroka, and Jadyn Colantonio represented Berlin CSD at the 2026 Celebration of Teaching and Learning at the University at Albany. Accompanied by Superintendent Ken Rizzo, Technology and Instructional Support Coordinator Ariel Gilbert, and BMHS Principal David Bernsley, the students traveled to UAlbany for the day.
The event, hosted by Questar III BOCES, focuses on showcasing and celebrating career opportunities within the field of education. The day’s schedule included featured guest speakers, student-led round-table Q&A sessions, a luncheon, and an optional campus tour of UAlbany.
The students received a certificate of recognition and a book celebrating teaching and learning. The Mountaineers were excellent ambassadors for the district, and Mr. Rizzo, Mrs. Gilbert, and Mr. Bernsley were proud of their engagement and networking as they explored career pathways in education at today’s celebration.
