At the end of April, BMHS had its third character education assembly of the year. The middle and high school Mountaineers were brought into the auditorium bright and early to celebrate their classmates who showed great commitment this school year.
These quarterly awards are directed by Mr. Robert Gould, supported by Middle School Counselor Mr. James Taylor-Shaw and the Character Education group known as the Super Troopers.
Mr. Shaw, with the help of School Social Worker Ms. Jennifer Poli, gave out recognitions given by students to other students who have been exceptional friends/peers over the last 10 weeks.
The Super Troopers, under the direction of Mr. Gould and Mr. Erik Viner, completed a video that discussed and displayed the commitment of students over the last quarter at school, featuring the current seniors who are completing their Civic Seal projects, which show students committed to making our community better.
These assemblies are an example of the school community at its best, and allows students to celebrate each other. – Mr. Gould
Below, you will find the Character Education Recipients listed in the PDF linked for the last three quarters. The first quarter recognized students who showed perseverance, the second quarter shined a light on teamwork , and in April, for the third quarter, was commitment.
