Congratulations to Norah Smerdon (Senior), Emma Duncan (Senior), Lillian vonSchilgen (Senior), Brianna Cleyne Ellima (Grade 7), Silas Smith (Grade 4) and Raymond Hammersmith (Grade 2) whose artworks were selected for the 36th Annual NYSATA Legislative Art Exhibit, which for the first time since before 2020, is returning to a LIVE, IN PERSON exhibit! This annual exhibit is the flagship event for Youth Art Month and NYSATA’s largest public display of student artwork in a government building. It is organized by NYSATA in partnership with NYSUT and in collaboration with the New York State Senate and Assembly. The goals of the exhibit are to showcase our art programs to our legislators and to give our young artists Grades K-12 an opportunity to receive statewide recognition. Two student works each were chosen by our BCSD Art Educators, Mrs. MacDonald, Ms. DeCelle and Mrs. Colbert. Our own Mrs. DeCelle is a co-chair of this exhibit as well!
