Today, Berlin High School sophomores Rylee Colantonio and Lydia Morgan visited Ms. Rontey and Ms. Savaria’s third grade classroom as part of the book buddy program, where Mountaineers from the high school catch the bus after school to volunteer to read and buddy up with elementary students. This program is enriching for both the high school and elementary Mountaineers, creating bonds, promoting volunteerism, and fostering literacy throughout the district. This aligns perfectly with the district’s Civic Seal program and Literacy Month.
