Today, Mr. Dobbins’ Kindergarten Mountaineers had a great day of STEAM activities. The Mountaineers used their new Strawbees Kits, which are creative thinking skills-building kits that allow students to invent anything they can imagine. They were also excited to use the Matatalab Pro Set Coding Robot, a screen-free, hands-on coding robot designed for children aged 4 and up to learn programming through tactile blocks, music, and drawing. In November, Mr. Dobbins was awarded a $1,250 grant from the Rural Technology Fund to support coding and robotics instruction at Berlin Elementary School. This grant was used to purchase the hands-on kits, coding, and robotics activities, available for all students at BES to sign out.
Thank you to Mr. Dobbins for helping to drive innovation and creativity at BES!
