“My Jersey, Your Impact” is a high school tradition where student-athletes honor staff members who have had a positive impact on their lives. This tradition, which BNL Athletic Director/Assistant Principal Mrs. Reynolds has wanted to see take place within the BNL program, had its pilot day today. Members of the BNL Varsity Girls Basketball team requested to be part of the first jersey presentations.
BNL Varsity Girls Basketball players Allie Manchester, Isabella Ovitt, Alyah Varela, and Savannah Hammon presented their game jerseys to teachers who have impacted them positively and expressed their gratitude, recognizing the way they foster the school community and their mentorship. Allie presented her jersey to BMHS Physical Education/Health Teacher Mrs. Honsinger; Isabella presented her jersey to BMHS Physical Education/Health Teacher Mrs. Berschwinger; Alyah presented her jersey to BMHS Physical Education Teacher Mr. Weaver; and Savannah presented her jersey to BMHS Music Teacher/Band Director Mrs. Gould.
These remarkable educators were invited to attend the Varsity Girls Basketball game this weekend during Mountain Madness, 1/31, at 2 pm, and today, they proudly wore their jerseys, deeply moved by the heartfelt gestures and messages of gratitude.
Thank you to Mrs. Reynolds for spearheading this initiative; we look forward to seeing more expressions of gratitude and positive impact throughout the BNL program. BNL Athletic Directors Mr. Brown and Mrs. Reynolds look forward to students being inspired by this initiative and reaching out to be part of it moving forward.
