In September, Berlin Elementary Kindergarten teacher Mr. Dobbins applied for a grant from the Rural Technology Fund, which works with rural schools and libraries to deliver technology education resources to support computer science and STEM education classes and extracurricular programs, reducing the gap between rural and non-rural communities by providing technology educational resources, scholarships, and assistive technology devices to rural students. In November, Mr. Dobbins was awarded a $1,250 grant to support coding and robotics instruction at Berlin Elementary School. The grant will be used to purchase hands-on coding and robotics activities for K-5 students to enhance their learning. -Mr. Dobbins
