This week, the Middle and High School Physical Education staff are attending the annual NYS AHPERD (Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) conference at Turningstone in Verona, NY.
This year, they are not only attending but also presenting their high school Physical Education Curriculum, ‘Student Choice: Sports, Traditional and Fitness Physical Education,’ which explains how high school students can choose their Physical Education course to get the most out of their classes. The session was attended by fellow Physical Education teachers and future teachers from around New York State.
After the session, the staff engaged in individual conversations with other teachers about implementing the Berlin High School Physical Education curriculum in their districts.
Now, Mrs. Honsinger, Mrs. Berschwinger, and Mr. Weaver are checking out other sessions to stay current in Physical Education and Health trends.
Mrs. Honsinger, Mrs. Berschwinger, and Mr. Weaver thank the entire BCSD administration for facilitating their attendance and Mr. Bernsley and  Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Mrs. Reynolds for their support and input with the presentation.
