Special Education Mediation for Families

December 8th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on zoom

Do you have unresolved concerns regarding your child’s special education classification, services, or placement? Do you want to learn more about dispute resolution options? Participants will become more familiar with the Special Education Basic Mediation process to increase the use of this dispute resolution option to resolve complaints regarding the education and experiences of students with disabilities. Preschool and school age parents, families, and professionals working with families and students with disabilities are encouraged to attend this training!

Building Reading Skills at Home:

How to Support Your Child’s Vocabulary

December 15th, 9:30 am – 11:00 am on zoom

This session is for parents who are interested in learning strategies that any family can use to support early reading skills at home. Turn the everyday activities you already do with your young children into extra supports for their reading and vocabulary development. The more they hear it, the more they learn! This session is for family members of children ages 3 through 8.
